Michael is trying out track this year and we went to his last track meet of the season. It was so fun to watch... minus the cold and wind. IT'S THE MIDDLE OF MAY! Brooke was a trooper, I was complaining more then she was! Here is a video of Michael's last run. He was the first leg of the 4 by 400.

Michael is getting so grown up! I think he is getting really cute, even with chicken legs!

I'm not a good family blogger. I don't know that I ever will be! We are just too busy to blog. But Brooke and I are going to do a photoshoot when the sun decides to shine and it's not freezing. I will definately share those. I have also been working on my 'office' and filling it with studio samples so I'll share that too!

We are doing good. Family has moved closer so it's fun to see them more often and to have help now and again (ok it's regularly!)

Dane has started an internship at a local PT's office and he likes that, I also like that because he looks very cute in his khakis and button up duo. :) We have been thinking about grad schools and Dane has mentioned he might like to go to ISU in Pocatello. (ahhhhhhhhhhh!) So we will probably be here longer. I would love to get to denver but the pt school there is double what it is here so if he got in here it would make more sense to stay.

I have stopped working at Shape Up for the summer and am having fun with the warmer weather and more clients. I also love being able to take Brooke outside to play. We have fun swinging on the swing and she let's me (and the rest of the neighborhood) know if we leave earlier then she is ready. :)

Brooke is walking now. Actually sometimes she is running, always falling, all over the place. I really LOVE it. Everyone keeps warning me about this stage but I think this is my favorite stage so far. Words she is saying: Mom, Dad, I swear she says 'Jackie', Baby, Doggie, and uh-oh. She also started to dance, she really knows how to shake her groove thang. :) She is finally clapping, and blowing kisses - 2 things we have been working on. :)

I am doing a mentorship from my fav photographer Kelli France and needed a last minute model. Jennifer is always up for pictures so we went out in the cold and snow. She definately knows how to strut her stuff. :)

Dane and I have both gained about 10 pounds since we have been married. I had a baby and this is his excuse:

Yesterday was Dane's birthday and he got a 24 pack of Mountain Dew. Can't wait for New Year's resolutions. :)

I know we have been lame, even this post is going to be lame...without a picture! I was just watching BL and how cute she is and how BIG she is getting and how I have been really slacking as a mom in the picture department. I have a bazillion pictures of everyone else and their kids but not of us! Yikes! We actually got some family pictures taken a few weeks ago and I will get them up soon.

Here's what we have been up to:

-Dane and I both work at ShapeUp Fitness: I open the store while he is at school in the morning and then I will leave a little while after he has gotten back. It can get a little crazy over there because we bring Brooke with us (and sometimes even Allie!) but it's fun for us to spend more time together during the day and a little extra money doesn't hurt either!
-Dane is doing great in school, as always, and he is also playing in Tennis and Flag Football Intramural games down in Rexburg when he can
-I am busy trying to keep the house clean (and failing) and given Brooke, my piano students attention and stay on top of pictures (not doing to great with that either!) But I think it's good to stay busy and it's fun to get business... but I would be lying if I told you I wasn't excited about this cold weather and getting a little breather from photography for a bit.

Here is what BL's favorite things are:
-her mom :)
-her dad!!!
-making noises (random outbursts of screaming...don't know where she got that from! ;)
-she hates the toys I buy her but she LOVES this stuff: rulers, pens, tupperware, paper, WIPES, dishes, track #3 on the CD in my car (makes her stop crying EVERYtime)
-baths
-bouncing

She is pretty good at rolling and scooting around and this week she has started "kneeling" on all fours and we are trying everything possible to help her start crawling!! I'm antsy for her to be more mobile!

She sleeps from about 8-7 in the morning and I am loving it...even though 7 comes quick!

We are sooo busy but we are still having fun and trying to be nice to each other even when we are so tired. (Does that sound bad? I guess the truth is the truth!)

We are working on it! She is not really getting it yet but we are making progress. : ) Thanks to Allie no cereal ever goes to waste because she will lick it right off Brooke's face. Yum. (hello mothers and grandmothers that are out there cringing and shaking their heads at me) : ) It is pretty gross but so funny because Brooke just laughs.

Dane was feeling so deathly ill today that he couldn't bare get out of bed (at 10:30) to get to church. : ) He was feeling so ill infact, that he decided he needed to wear a bandana while i was gone so that he wouldn't spread his germs to Brooke. Seriously sooo funny. I hurried and got a picture before I made him take that thing off. : )

It's been about a year since our last post so I guess it's time for another one! We really are going to try to be better about this. At LEAST a blog a year, and hopefully a few more in between. I stalk other families' blogs and so I guess it's about time I pay attention to my own. We have been very busy. We came back from California and are back in Idaho but thankfully not in Rexburg this time!

July has been busy! We opened up our house for some travelers lost in California and took pity on them. Little did we know that the youngest 2 (shown above) were coniving little men sent to destroy any sanity and peace in our lives. Thanks MOM for bringing the kids to visit.

There were parts that were fun.

Not included in the fun list were things among the following:

- sharing a one bedroom apartment with SIX people, a mouse, and a dog

- sharing a bathroom with six people, a mouse, and a dog

- sibling rivalry

- no naps

- no sleeping in

- no alone time
